1) We are a garden Co-Op; we share our harvests. 2) We like to putter in each others gardens.  It is more fun together and we like to show off our plants. 3) Big harvests give opportunities for Big Cook-Offs.  Join us and make dishes to take home. 4) Learn about Edible Gardening, Natural Pest Control, Permaculture, Green Construction, Ethnic and Veggie Cooking, Computers, and TED. 5) Maybe a little wine and music in the garden as well.   Many of our activities are ADA, elderly, and kid friendly.

Join us for a unique opportunity to learn about cob in an urban setting. During these meetings, participants will build a cob oven and cob seating area in the backyard of our hosts' private residence. Oven construction, basic cob mixing and building techniques, niches and sculptural elements will be taught. Theory topics include foundations, roofing, and the logistics of acquiring project materials in the city. Participants will have enough knowledge to take on their own backyard project.

Root Simple is about back to basics, DIY living, encompassing homegrown vegetables, chickens, herbs, hooch, bicycles, cultural alchemy, and common sense. We're always learning, figuring stuff out, taking advantage of the enormous smarts of our friends and our on-line community, and trying to give some of that back in turn.
