Dear Meetup,
One of our members is a solar cook and invited us to an event that the Solar Cooking meetup is participating in. (thanks, Sherry!) Here are the details:

Solar cooking Demonstration and Workshop.
Show off your solar cooker. Learn to build a solar cooker.

The event runs from 10 to 2, however, solar cooks may set up earlier if they are cooking for the potluck.
Bring your cooker, bring food if you plan to join for lunch, we will potluck at 1pm. The first workshop will begin at 10am.

This is an excellent venue - sunny area with a nice shade tree nearby. There are lots of other environmental groups there so it is a good opportunity to learn from others as well.

If you are new to solar cooking, this is a great opportunity to see all the different options and to talk to experienced cooks. If you want to build an All Season Solar Cooker you must RSVP. The material fee for a cut and folded, ready to cover cooker will be $30.
