MEETING CHANGE FROM JULY 9 TO THURSDAY, JULY 16
LOCATION CHANGE FROM ZOO TO DOWNTOWN LIBRARY (1001 BROAD STREET)
6:30 p.m.
We ordinarily hold our monthly meeting on the second Thursday of each month, but we have an opportunity to join forces with RePower America on this third Thursday instead. During the meeting we will consider strategies that will influence passage of the kind of energy bill in the US Senate we want. One that supports the slowing of climate change and reduction of our carbon footprint. As you know such a bill has passed in the House. Now it's time for Senators to step up. During this debate and discussion time before the vote, people of faith should speak up in favor of an energy bill that includes climate change controls and emphasis on renewable energies. It's a matter of stewardship and justice. How do we do it most effectively? That's what the meeting is about. BE THERE!
