About GREEN EVENTS - Chattanooga Environmental Meetup Group

TO PEOPLE OF ALL FAITHS:

The Chattanooga InterFaith Power & Light- Global Warming Task Force has formed to address global climate change issues in our region from a religious perspective. We believe it is a moral imperative for people to be responsible stewards of creation. We believe that there are solutions and that we can make a positive difference. Since our formation in the summer of 2006, we have sponsored a showing of ?An Inconvenient Truth? as well as a public presentation by Reverend Sally Bingham, the Episcopal priest who founded the national Interfaith Power & Light and The Regeneration Project. We have supported the Chattanooga mayor?s signing on to the U.S. Mayors? Climate Protection Agreement, assisted with the effort to save curbside recycling, and established a spin off group addressing ways for Chattanooga to become an innovative future energy hub. You are invited to provide your talents, wisdom and enthusiasm for this vital work. Join us on the second Thursday of every month at the zoo. Bring a snack and come to socialize at 6:30 p.m. We begin the meeting at 7 p.m.
